Friday, June 10th, 2011i would like to hear from any one who has extremely high insulin levels, but my glucose levels up?
Sunday, May 15th, 2011i had a fasting gtt with sky rocketing insulin levels,they were 10 times the range level, but unlike with others that i have read about, my glucose levels are in the upper range of normal, my dr has said that most normal people with that amount of insulin in their system would be in a coma. but i havent been diagnosed with diabetes, could anyone explain to me what all this could be about,my magnesium levels are low and my ldl chol was 2.9, triglceride 1.3, ldl/hdl ratio 1.9, chol/hdl ratio 3.3, which i have no idea what any of this means. i would love to hear from any one that could explain this more as i seem to be getting delegated to different specialist & seem to have no more of a solution to whats going on than i did,when i first got blood results
the levels that are up are the serum insulin
fasting is meant to be (<11) mine- 40uu/ml
1 hour is meant to be (9-45)mine-423uu/ml
2 hour is meant to be (5-30)mine-585uu/ml
can any body with some medical knowledge tell me what this means, also what i can do to change these results.

But they checked my levels today and i was a 10 and they said thats bad… I’ve also put on 2kg in a week..
I think i have GD but the doctors say im fine…
Is a Blood Sugar Level of 471 Dangerously High?
Sunday, March 27th, 2011I had a normal low-carb dinner of salad, tuna sandwich on wheat and water. Then, I ate a small bag of candy. I checked my blood sugar about 30 minutes later because I was feeling dizzy and it was 471. I checked again 15 minutes later and it went down to 412. I know these aren’t normal levels, but can this possibly happen to non-diabetics who eat candy? I have not been diagnosed with diabetes.
Even if it is getting lower? Ugh, I really didn’t want to end up going to the ER 
.

My Insulin levels are really high but i do not have biabetes. What does this mean?

Monday, December 27th, 2010my partner oscillates between hypos and high blood sugar. He is on three injections a day with the long term one taken at night. I need to know (cant get into clinic for a while) how to balance his meals. When I do 50/50 protein and carbs he seems to react well. Is there something else I/we need to be doing as he seems to be uping the units of insulin lately. We know about the little feeds often, yes it works somewhat. He has brittle Diabetes.
